Wednesday Routes

Okay so I am behind on my blog, whats new? Been really sick with allergies, but got a different bus so I thought I should get back to doing this.
This was my first morning driving 9603....I drove it yesterday PM because 9504 didn't pass state inspection, it needed some sort of seal, pin or penny seal I think, anyway, I drove 9603 yesterday afternoon, it will take some getting used to but it seems to run fine. This morning I overslept and was 10 minutes late starting my route because 9603 won't run when you first start it, it has to warm up and since I overslept, I had not factored the mechanical difference into my AM route.
All students at both schools have assigned seats. Now that transportation took the top half of the route off my bus, I am not overloaded, I have 45 middle school students!!

SHES - Good ride this morning. Some of the students told me that Taylor moved this morning, I don't know, I will watch her house. She wasn't at stop but I activated anyway, all the usual cars were there. Head count 35. AAS @ 7:28am.
BSMS - It was a good ride overall. I nipped the noise in the bud as soon as LaAsia and Kadeja got on the bus. Head count 41. AAS @8:05am. Unloaded at the gym with trenchcoat lady.

SHES - Breanu and Jasmine complained that Ladajah was staring and talking ugly to them, I spoke to Ladajah at school. Head count 34. AAS @ 7:15am.
BSMS - Amiesha was yelling out the window, besides that it was a good ride. Head count 53. Unloaded at the gym with the trenchcoat lady. AAS @ 8:11am.

SHES - I have to keep these seperated, they are much TL together: Kiana and Rachel and Jazmine, although Jazmine seems to be totally quiet. I also had to seperate Morgan and Jillian for being TL, with 2 warnings. Ladajah was OOS and eating on the bus, she will go in seat #1 with Pre-K until she learns how to behave. Head count 27.
BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:20pm. These girls are entirely too loud! Ishama, Ameisha, LaAsia, Aaliyah Glenn, and sometimes Whitney and Taylor too....I will continue to seperate them. Taylor had a oencil out, I asked her to put it away. Jared threw a pencil out window at school and Mr. Tidaback boarded the bus and got all over him, that helped the overall discipline of the entire bus. I kept telling them that I meant business, follow the rules and everything would be okay. Head count 50.

8/19/08 Routes

SHES - Good ride overall. The Woodall children were not at the stop and I was almost 2 minutes early, so I went back by the residence before I left subdivision, nobody was at stop either time. Head count 31. AAS @7:17am
BSMS - Made anther trip by the Woodall residence, to pick up the middle school students, I know that they have no transportation to get the kids to school, so I called and woke them up and picked up Welsey and Kelsea. I allowed the students to sit wherever they wanted and told them they would have to pay the consequences if they did not behave and BE QUIET, so they were good! Unloaded at the dumpster with trenchcoat lady @ 8:15am. Head count 58.

SHES - Good ride overall, Ladajah screamed "poison ivy" when I hit a tree limb, she admitted that it was her that screamed, I reminded her that we have to use LIBRARY VOICES on the bus. Head count 37. AABSMS in plenty of time.

8/15/08 Routes Overslept 10 minutes late leaving

SHES - Ladajah was drinking on the bus and chewing gum. Never sit Mariah, Rachel and Jazmine together, they were WAY TL, in fact Mariah was in tears by the time we got to school because I seperated them. Head count 35. AAS @ 7:20.
BSMS - Colton told me that Whitney was "starting" something with him, so I told her to stop. I moved her to seat #1 when she gave me attitude. Wesley HTS, messing with Kelsea's hair. Nick TL. Head count 62. AAS @ 8:14.

SHES - Left school at 2:45, woohoo! Sully was hitting and talking ugly to Kaitlyn and Mariah, he was in seat #3. His mother did not come to stop so I couldn't talk to her, I will just make a note, I did speak to Sully. Head count 38.
BSMS - Whitney was disrespectful again this afternoon, if this behavior continues I wil lbe writing her up. Antwan HTS, and he was screaming on the bus. 0606 Tara Williams cut in front of me (I was doing 65 mph) swerving constantly and she never used a turn signal....she also activated on hwy 61 and stopped me, after she cut in front of me knowing that I had to drive a distance further (Carrollton city limits) before I turned off. Head count was ggod today, thank you for football practice!! Head count 53.

8/18/08 Routes 32 gallons

SHES - Today was Austins first morning riding the bus, he did fine. Good ride overall. Head count 38. AAS @ 7:15am, didn't get unloaded until 7:20....no stickers on the kiddos :)
BSMS - so many students, wow! we have no room! Alex (boy) absolutely did not want to sit with Colton, he asked me to move Alex (girl) so that he could sit in that seat, I did, but I made him go to the back becuase we needed the seat for girls. He sat with Wesley. I let Ishama and Ameisha and Whitney and Taylor sit with each other and with Aaliyah Glenn...Ishama tattled on Whitney said she was trying to start something, so I talked to Whitney when we go tp school, I asked her if they were picking on her or if she was starting stuff, she wasn't forth coming with any info. She would not talk. Aaliyah Glenn and Ameisha were picking at each other, HTS. Antwan gets 2 gold slips, one for offering to sit with someone unpleasant and one for letting the ladies go first. Dominique gets a GS for offering to sit with someone unpleasant. Head count 64. AAS 8:12.

SHES - Austin wouldn't sit down, I told him several times and one time he even told me "no" I explained to him that if he couldn't sit in the seat correctly, he wouldn't ride my bus. Breanu needed to be reminded of how to sit in the seat correctly also. There was not an adult out at Nick, Mariah's, Kaitlyn and Nate's house.....I explained to them that I WOULD NOT let them off until I saw a grown-up, the adult there sent a toddler out onto the porch, but Jasmine went to the door and told the adult that was there that they would have to come to the door or out on the porch. Ladajah sat in the 1st seat with Lacey again, she asked how long she would have to sit in the first seat and I told her until she learned not to eat or drink on the bus, she said that she didn't have any food in her bag or drink, I tried to explain to her that even if she did have food, she couldn't eat it, its her first year with me, even though she is in the 3rd grade, she has to learn what I require, so she is still learning :) There was nobody out at Sully's house, his mother is usually out with his baby sister, but no one was out, Sully said his uncle was home, but I didn't drop him. I brought him back by home after I had delivered everyone else, but still no one, so I returned him to SHES.
BSMS - My loud girls (Ishama, Ameisha, Whitney, LaAsia, Aaliyah Glenn) were just fine this afternoon, not too loud at all. I have a good bunch, we just don't have enough room :( Head count 51.

Saturday Office 8/09/08

I worked in the office today from 9am till 1:15pm. Tammi Barrett was there too, we got quite a bit done, but not enough. I did several spread sheets for Cindy, updating things and even brought it home to finish up. Spoke with her about the Frashier Rd. rider, she will speak with the school on Monday, I will not let her on my bus Mon PM...she has never ridden in the AM.

SHES - Late again leaving school, not as bad but still looking everywhere for lost children, ugh! Rough ride this afternoon, Sully would not sit down and Ceasar was TL and he gave Cody the finger, he will get a WU for it. Josie also witnessed the finger. Mom doesn't speak english, so the older sister said she would explain to the mother and I told her that he would be written up. I spoke with Sullys mom at the stop, she was thankful that I notified her, we just have to work together, he is still learning :) Ladajah absolutely will not do anything I tell her to, she was OOS standing, had her fingers out the window and then stood and whistled out the window trying to get a dogs attention. I really think that she just forgets, there was no parent out at the stop she is in 3rd grade, so I could no speak to anyone, but I will keep working with her. Head count 35.
BSMS - The same 6th grader got on my bus this afternoon as yesterday. She rides Sue Varners but the school demands that she rides my bus home, so I dropped her at the top of Frashier Rd. she has to walk quite a way down to get home. I think I will talk to Cindy about it. Micheal Vaughn and his group were TL and Ishama and her group were TL, I will seperate them when I assign seats. I had 4 new stops this afternoon, one new road. I will try to update my route sheet this weekend. Head count 52.

~After I had dropped my students at 7:20 200 announced over the radio that all reps had to get head counts from drivers and phone them in by 9am, well I ws already on my way to pu my BSMS students and I couldn't get them from my drivers, UGH!~
BSMS - AAS @ 8:13am. BSMS unloaded the 6th graders first. Head count 46.

SHES - WOW! we left SHES 25 minutes late at 3:10pm! ....it was total chaos, they were going from bus to bus looking for several students, at least a dozen students were lost, ugh!! Ladajah, one of my new students, cannot sit correctly, she is in the 3rd grade, she should know how to ride a bus. I will give her a day or two and then after I continue saying her name over and over, I will have to take action. Ceasar is back on my bus and is much too loud, shouting all the time. He is my first stop 4 minutes frim the school and I had to say his name 4 times before we got to his stop! Head count 33.
BSMS - Antwan made a smart remark "I got the herpes" so that he would not have to sit with anyone and of course every other seat had AT LEAST 2 students in it, ugh! That is his first strike. I had two extras on my bus, one was Marci Varner's student and one was Willie Lewis'. It was 5:10pm when I dropped her off very last, poor girl! Head count 49.

SHES Pre-K Orientation

Pre-K orientation was Sunday 8/03 from 3-4. I called Peggy and Kathy and asked them to work, they would be paid for it, but there wasnt much pressure because it was only Pre-K. I was the only one there, but no big deal because there were only 20 Pre-K students and I spoke to everyone about times and being at the stop for receipt and whatever. I also wrote the bus number and driver for each student on the teachers class roster, beside the address she had filled in. I was there for the entire hour and then headed home.

Back to School Meeting

Thursday 7/31/08 Back to School Meeting at VRMS 9-12

Went with Abby to the meeting. The meeting was very much like every other year. Seperated into our clusters and it became chaotic....didn't get to speak with Cindy, didn't get copies of all the SHES routes like she said I would get. I had 2 new drivers that I DID NOT know about and one that I did....WOW! Shirley Whisenhunt went to Bowdon I think. Kevin is not coming back, Tina was pissed that she doesn't have the route since Kevin is gone, she was also pissed that she got 01-02 because it still isn't new enough to take out of town, but Cindy CLEARLY told us that there will be few field trips this year. One per grade level per school...unless the school raises funds to pay for it. Kathy and Peggy asked me to get them copies of all the routes to the school by Monday because the parents will be asking them about which bus and what time...so I went to transportation to make the copies and Miranda was very protective of them...wanted to make sure that I had permission from Cindy and Mr. Rogers to get them, well I told her that I had talked with Cindy about getting these copies LAST WEEK and was finally getting them, Cindy was at lunch so I left her a note to check her email. SHES - David and Destany still aren't riding, haven't seen a person at their house, they have moved, they are off my route! Good route. Head count 33. AAS @ 7:14am.
BSMS - No Wesley today, no Kayla today. Jordan was OOS, hmm, wonder why? Head count 53. AAS @ 8:08am, unloaded at front dumpster with Mr. Fussell.

SHES- Johnathon was standing TA, so I told hime to sit and face the front (this was the 2nd time I told him) then just as soon as I turned back to look at the road her stood up again!! I am writing him up. Breanu was sitting with her back against the wall, after I told her 3 times just today to TA....I have to tell her EVERYDAY!!! Jeramiah told me he would blow my head off today as he got off the bus. Ariel overheard it and she was very upset, wants me to write him up. Head count 363
BSMS - AABSMS @3:15, turned in Bianca's razor phones that Tabitha and her mother gave to me. I talked to Mrs. Teems about it, she said just put each phone in a seperate envelope and put the students name on the envelope and that Officer Staggs would return them to the student, no referrals necessary. A lot of drama on the bus today. Tabitha was sobbing the entire bus ride, she was crying so much that Bianca had to tell me what was going on and it is between Tabitha and CarolJane.....I think that I will write up CarolJane and let the school sort it out. Then apparently Keiola threatened Molly over the same issue and Keiola wasn't even involved! Keiola gets a write up.

BSMS - Wesley was rude jokingly called the elementary kids morons I think. I spoke to him about it. Michael and Jordan were slow again this morning, I spoke to them about it. Only Kayla and LaAsia were loud this morning, and they were only loud a couple of times, not the entire route. Head count 47. AAS @ 8:10am, unloaded at front dumpster with Mr. Fussell. BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:18pm. Dominique was OOS doing something, try to see it on tape. Coach Burgess put Kayla and Brandon on the bus, asked me to keep them seperated which they always are. I told Brandon and Kayla to drop it now before I got behind the wheel. Brandon told me she makes him made because she makes fun of Special Needs students. Kayla gave Brandon the finger as we were leaving the school. I will write her up for it. Head count 42.

SHES - Total chaos trying to load so I called silent loading, didn't work so I called silent bus ride. They were good so I lifted it at the beginning of the route. Head count 38.
BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:22pm. Something was going on between Kahlil and Keiola, I was able to talk to Kahlil and he told me there was a misunderstanding, he thought she was talking to him and when she told him she wasn't talking to him she screamed it across the bus, this doesn't sound very likely so I will talk to Keiola in the morning. She was screaming at Kahlil a lot! The following students were TL: Antwan (much too loud) Rod was clapping his hands, Jordan. Head count 46.

BSMS - When I picked up Bianca at San Marco, her grandmother asked me to please speak to the principal of the school about Bianca being bullied in the bus. I assured her that I would and was working with the school on this situation but that I also have some problems with some things that Bianca is doing. Tabitha did not bring the cell phones to me this morning. But I spoke with Bianca about her arguing on paper and she said that Molly was the one with the attitude, she said that even Tabitha asked Molly why she was getting an attitude, WHO KNOWS!! But I am emailing Mrs. Teems and CC Mr. Tidaback just so they won't be in the dark when Bianca's grandmother shows up at school ;) I have a copy of email on file. Head count 49. AAS @ 8:12. Unloaded at front dumpster with Mr. Fussell. Pumped 27 gallon of fuel.

Monday 4/28/08 Routes

SHES- Good route. Loren was shoved on the bus by his mother, he was sobbing, I am sure he would have stopped but she decided to take him off the bus. Head count 35. AAS @ 7:15am.
BSMS - Good route. Trey asked to get up and go to the back and get something, so I let him. He asked again and I told him no, sit down and be quite, he was yelling across the bus and he said it was about his myspace. He sat down after I told him to. At the school Tabitha, Bianca and CarolJane stayed on the bus, CarolJane exited almost immediately, but Bianca and Tabitha stayed. It seems that Zsaree had planned with another girl to "jump" Bianca when she got off the bus. Bianca was in tears and a crowd of students were hanging around outside the door of my bus, standing there in the rain. When they saw Bianca on the bus one of them shouted "why you scared to get off the bus?" Bianca said her name was Tatiana Adams or something like that, I don't know her but Officer Staggs did. I sent Tabitha into the gym for help, noone was there, so she ran to the cafeteria and got Officer Staggs. Come to find out Trey went to the back of the bus to insult Bianca, he said that Rodney Hill had said something about her hair and he was making fun of it. Bianca was in tears and would not get off the bus, so Officer Staggs took down the names I could give him and escorted her into the school. I will write up Trey for his insult and Zsaree for her part. UGH! Head count 48. AAS @ 8:09am. Unloaded at front dumpster with Mr. Fussell.

BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:21pm. Rodney Hill and Antarica both asked me if I wrote them up for that stuff with Bianca. I told Rodney the only reason his name came up was beacause Trey said that Rodney made the insult, Trey just delivered it. I wasn't even aware that Antarica was involved. Trey was OOS standing. It appeared to me that Zsaree, Antarica and Trey were talking about the "situation" with Bianca because I heard Trey say something about Officer Staggs brought her in the cafeteria, so I told all three of them to change the subject NOW! They assured me that they were talking about someone else, whatever. They whispered and mumbled the rest of the ride home which is FINE WITH ME! LaDarrell had gum when he got off the bus. Today was Aaliyah's first day off the bus, 3 day suspension. I turned in the referrels to Mrs. Teems this afternoon and told her that Officer Staggs handled the situation this morning. Tabitha and Molly spoke to me this afternoon after Bianca had gotten off the bus. Tabby was very upset that Bianca had threatened to call the police on Tabby for stealing her cell phones, phones that Bianca crammed into Tabby's bookbag to hide, see ??/?? post for the story. I told Tabby not to worry about it that she had me as a witness from the beginning, she said she was bringing the phone to me in the morning to turn into the school, I told her that was fine. Molly was upset because Bianca was rude to her and had an attitude with her. None of this is one tape because they were writing notes, so Bianca WROTE her attitude. Head count 44.

Tuesday 4/22/08 Routes

BSMS - I had to stop twice for Bianca, but I can't write her up due to hardship. Bianca and Carol Jane stayed on theb us to speak to me about a"spat" they had, I talked to them a bit. The following students were TL: Aaliyah and Trey. Head count 52. AAS @8:12am unloaded at front dumpster with Mr. Fussell.

SHES - Gave Josie her final warning about leaning on the emergency door in #5, next time it will be a write up. Kayla Dees and Rachel sat together and they were too loud, don't seat them together anymore. Morgan was turned around in aisle. Head count 37.
BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:22pm. The following students were TL: Zsaree, Kayla 2, Antarica 2, Aaliyah 2, LaAsia, Jade, Ishama and Trey. Ishama was also HTS. LaDarrell had gum as he was exiting the bus. Head count 49. SE SHUTTLE SERVICE came FLYING into the BSMS parking lot going much, much too fast. Monday 4/21/08 Routes ~~ 31 gallons~~

SHES - Good route. Head count 33 AAS @ 7:14am.
BSMS - Trey was TL as he went over his ordeal ,that took place on Friday afternoon, with the other students. Rodney missed the bus, but by the time the students told me he was coming, I had already closed the door/stop sign and started to proceed. I didn't re-activate due to the time constraints on my route and the CRCT testing. I only hope he has another way to school. I kept looking for him in my mirrors to see if he was chasing the bus, but I never saw him so he must have turned around. Head count 50. AAS @ 8:08am. Unloaded at front dumpster with Mr. fussell. Pumped 31 gallsons of fuel.

SHES - David fell asleep and nobody could wake him. I let Destany off without him since I come back by their house and all the other students tried after she got off. I tried also and he would not wake up. His mom drove to the bus and got on and woke him and got him off the bus. Nicholas Coheely was TL and he constantly seems to ignore my requests for him to be quiet, UGH! Destany HTS, smacking trent as he got on the bus. Head count 42.

TGIF 4/18/08 Routes

BSMS - Good route. Biance and Torre had gum but got rid of it as soon as I asked. Head count 48. AAS @ 8:10am. Unloaded at cafeteria w/Mr. Fussell..

SHES - Malik and Kinslei arguing and calling names as they boarded the bus at school, I nipped it and made sure they didn't sit anywhere near each other. Head count 39.
BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:20pm. Kahlil and Martavious had gum but spit it out when I asked. As the buses were pulling out of school, Trey begged several times to get off the bus, I told him NO over and over but he continued to beg and plead, so I informed him that if he got off he would have to find another way home, because the buses were already leaving. He still begged so I opened the door, he said he HAD to get his cell phone. I left him at school and he caught a ride. As I was traveling down Old Airport Rd, slowing to make a stop at Castlegate, Trey ran up beside the bus beating on the side screaming for me to open the door. He was screaming that a dog was chasing him. Because I was in the middle of HEAVY traffic, I immediately activated my 8ways to stop the moving traffic and hopefully keep anyone from getting hurt. Trey boarded the bus got his book bag and then got back off and walked home from there. We were app. 500 ft from his normal stop, so he did not have to walk far, but I am writing him up for a safetly violation. I spoke with cindy about it on Saturday and she agreed about the write up. Kayla got off the bus in tears, she was extremely angry with Zsaree. She told me that she had been holding her tongue and her temper but it was all she could do to sit in her seat and not defentd herself against all the things that Zsaree has been saying. I told her that we needed to talk in detail about this but she was intent in getting off the bus so I told her we would talk about it Monday AM. She agreed. If she has been holding back, then I owe her a gold slip. Head count 45.

BSMS - A student boarded without paperwork, her name was Destany Ray, normally rides 0705 Ms. Woody, she got on at Castlegate and Old Airport Rd. LaAsia had gum. AAS @ 8:15am. Unloaded with Mr. Fussell @ cafeteria. Head count 51.

SHES - Due to the PM route's behavior yesterday we are on SBR today. Good route. head count 37.
BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:20pm. Trey was OOS, standing also TL clapping with Zsaree. Kahlil dropped the "F" bomb while we were loading but I barely heard it, I'm sure it was him but I didn't write him up. Kahlil also got off the bus at a different stop than he got on. Antarica was TL and Kayla was yelling out the window, UGH!!! Wednesday 4/16/08 Routes

SHES - Good route. Head count 39. AAS 7:14am.
BSMS - The following students were TL: Kayla and LaAsia. Rod HTS, Zsaree is going to "nut up" next time he puts his hands on her...I think I will write him up. AAS 8:11am. Head count 51. Pumped 27 gallons of fuel, needed it because I drove to Mt Zion last night for rodeo practice.
~Tabitha had a problem, Bianca had been asking her for her book bag every morning and then again in the afternoon, turns out Biana was putting 2 razor phones in Tabitha's book bag, I don't know if they are stolen or if they are hers and she wanted to get Tabitha in trouble, but Tabitha told her parents and her dad put them on top of their fridge, Tabitha wants to give them to me and have me turn them in so I agreed. Tabitha gave them to me this morning then she said she kinda just wanted to give them back to Bianca and tell Bianca that her mom told her she can't hold them for her anymore, she said they are friends and have been friends since 5th grade. I told her the decision was hers unless I found out they are stolen, but I also said that I don't want Bianca taking advantage of Tabitha. I told her to think about it and that I wouldn't turn them in today and she could tell me this afternoon. I am going to try to charge them and find out if there is any info on them that would tell me who they may belong to.

SHES - Trent was hitting Malik in the head with his fist because Malik got into his seat I am going to seperate them and possibly write Trent up if necessary. I gave Kalil the seat and Trent and Malik ran him out. Malik reached over the seat and took something from Keanu, maybe Malik and Trent need to be upfront for good. Cody continued to talk/argue with the girls across the aisle after I told him not to. Billy and Nicholas were too loud and HTS. NBreanu and Keanu were awful, picking and arguing...I am growing very, very tired of this and I will end up writing them both up soon. Head count 38.
BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:20pm. Kahlil and Kayla got on the bus mouthing off to each other on the verge of a fight, I nipped it! After that Kayla argued with Ishama and I had to nip that too! Ishama and Kahlil had gum and I told them to get rid of it, they both swallowed it. I made the gum announcement but Michah and Torre both still had gum. The following students were TL: Aaliyah, Michael, Rod, Kayla (3 counts) Shamiya and La Asia. Head count 53.

Tuesday 4/15/08 Routes

AM ~~Today is the first day of CRCT testing, they are hammering it in that we can't be late and can't be out.~~

BSMS - Rod was OOS standing. Kayla was back on, Kahlil got on at Keiola's and Wesley was back on. Head count 53. AAS 8:06, unloaded at the dumpster w/Mr. Fussell.

BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:25pm. Martavious HTS. Brianna Blair had gum, I noticed it at the end of the route when she moved up front. The following students were TL: Michael, Trey, Jordan, Kayla was screaming, Rod. There was no PM tape, the mechanics popped it out when they inspected my bus and I didn't remember to put it back until it was too late.

My bus was at transportation all day, I had inspection and an oil change and they replaced a headlight even though the old one still worked but no complaints here. Tina brought me home in T16 a brown car. I practiced the rodeo course 1 1/2 times, I was just exhausted and couldn't complete the course and drive the bus home too, so I gave up and will try again when Lance can drive me there and let me practice.

SHES - Brandon said Morgan gave him the finger and Morgan said Brandon gave her the finger, the tape doesn't show it at all, so I am writing both of them up and letting the school decide. Daisha told me that Breanu had candy out on the bus, but I know she wasn't eating it. Keanu was TZ facing the back talking to someone, so I moved her up front and Daisha was hanging out in the aisle so I moved her up front. Head count 39.
BSMS - Brianna Blair had her fingers out the window, in lala land, lol. BreAnna Agan went home with Brianna Blair. The following students were too loud: LaAsia, Dominque was clapping, Antarica was yelling and screaming at Martavious. Head count 46. Turned around at Citgo because hwy 61 was closed across from the sale barn. Went home via Shady Grove.

BSMS - Good route. I told Antarica that I did not write her up but if she needed to stay out of trouble that much, she should learn to think before she speaks. I turned in the write up on Chastidy for the F bomb and it has Antarica's name on it so I am sure that Ms. Lamar/Ms. Teems will speak with her about it. I am letting the school sort it out, I need to drive. Jordan was not at his stop, I had to wait for him. Michael and Jasmine were not on the bus. Ishama asked me to tell Aaliyah and Michael to quit bothering her, I told Aaliyah to sit and be quiet this AM (she usually is anyway, its the afternoons that they are loud) and I couldn't tell Michael because he wasn't on the bus. Head count 49. AAS 8:06am. Unloaded at gym with Mr. Fussell.

BSMS - AABSMS @ 3:20. Carol Jane yelled out the window at Tabitha. The school counselor spoke to me abuot Chastidy, asked me to sit her up front and watch out for her (she sits in #2) she explained to me that she is a VERY SAD little girl. Head count 48.

BSMS- AABSMS @ 3:20. The following students were TL: Michael, Bianca (she explained, it was only one incident) Jasmine and Trey. Trey will get a write up, I will have to check on Michael and Jasmine's history. As Chastidy was getting up to exit the bus Antarica was saying something to her and Chastidy told Antarica to "shut the Fuck up" Antarica says that Zsaree started it. I will write up Chastidy and put Antarica on the write up so that Ms. Lamar can sort it out. Head count 53. ~~Just make a note of Michael and Jasmine's behavior for future reference.~~

BSMS- Marcelles was OOS. Kahlil gat very angry and disrepectful when I accused him of agging on the fight between Brandon and Deiago, Michael admitted to doing it so I apologized to Kahlil, but that didn't help, he was very angry and disrespectful. Deiago pushed Brandon after they got off the bus then started beating on him and shoved him down and kicked him in the head. I blew the horn and shouted at them, they broke it up and Brandon got up and began walking home. I radioed 200, I was afraid that he was going to seriously injure Brandon. Aaliyah and Kahlil were both TLl. Head count 50.

BSMS - good route. I spoke to Rod about keeping his hands to himself and about steering clear of Antarica. I gave my referrals and warnings to Ms. Lamar because she was outside the gym when I unloaded. She informed me that Kahlil was suspended off the bus for 2 days. I guess that explains why he was mad yesterday afternoon and was not on the bus this morning.

4/07/08 Routes 155384 mileage

First day back after spring break and I overslept! I have never overslept...oh well, I was only 5 minutes late for my first pick up and got to SHES by 7:16am....so it all worked out :)

BSMS - good route. Quiet except for Kayla who was back on the bus this morning as was Zsaree but I never heard Zsaree speak. No Kahlil, I guess he and his grandmother are still angry, oh well, more room for us! We were short several people which gave us just enough room for everyone. Head count 50 AAS 8:10. Unloaded just past Gym, trench coat lady and the usual man were there. Got 32 gallons of fuel.

BSMS - AAS 3:20pm. Ms. Teems spoke with me about the fight last week between Brandon and Deiago, she says that if they BOTH say it was just play, then we won't do anything about it, I agree. She also asked me to watch the tapes for the day that Keiola handed me the note about Michael and the day before to see if I could see anything...the videos only show all the students getting up to exit the bus or to move into another seat (because we are so overcrowded, they move into the first available seat) so I sent her an email telling her that. Personally I think that Keiola's word should be enough anyway. The following kids had gum, I made them spit it out: Antarica, Rodney Hill, Micah, Martavious & Kahlil. Kahlil never spit his out, and was disrespectful but not too awful bad, I guess he is still mad. He got off at Keiola's, I tried to call his Grandmother on her cell and at home but could not get her, I just didn't want to have to write him up for gum (kinda ridiculous) and I needed to make sure it was okay if he gets off at Keiola's instead of his usual stop. I wrote him up because I could not reach his grandmother. Aaliyah and LaAsia were too loud, so I wrote them up. LaAsia got a warning, but Aaliyah got a referral. Jasmine was hanging out in the aisle to talk to Micah and she was too loud. Antarica screamed at Rod for picking at her and "touching" her, he was poking her in the neck. I will talk to Rod because Antarica was in a terrible mood, she was over-reacting. Head count 52.

Wed 3/26/08 Routes

SHES - Good ride. I sat David alone and made Jeremiah sit with his brothers in seat #1. Michael and Anna's mom told me at the stop that Billy and Michael can't sit together because they had an issue at home, so I made sure they didn't. AAS 7:13am. Head count 35.
BSMS - Good ride, we were lite today :) Keiola spoke to me after unloading...she told me that Jordan kissed her on Monday on the cheek as she was trying to get off the bus. I was wondering what was up, I wrote him up for his behavior yesterday afternoon, so we will see.

SHES - Nobody home at Mariah and Nicholas' so they got off at Billy's house. Nicholas accidently hit Austin in the mouth before we left school, so I sent Austin in to get some cold water and the bleeding stopped immediately. Breanu was on the floor, ugh! SHES- Good ride, seat #4 is loose on the bottom so I had to move Josie, I'll get the shop to repair that this afternoon. David asked to move out of his assigned seat 9 times!!! FOR PETES SAKE!!!!! Head count 36. AAS 7:14am.
BSMS - Trey was being awful to Brandon because Brandon was looking his direction. Rod said the F word. Torre gave me attitude when I put her in the back of the bus.....we have no room and one girl was out today and Torre had to sit in her seat and she was not happy. She wanted me to put the new girl Chastidy back there. I did that yesterday and Bianca and Kieola were ugly to her. I spoke to Bianca and Kieola today about that and they both have history with Chastidy, I didn't know this because she is brand new on our bus, so I kept her up front today and put Torre in the back. I spoke to Molly also and explained that I woud be writing a warning for her about having her hands on Tabitha, I did not tell her that Tabitha had confided in me, but I will not let her move to Tabitha's seat anymore. Trenchcoat lady (wearing a red jacket) was rcvg at the gym. AAS 8:06. Head count 55.

SHES - David was hitting Josue this afternoon and I found out, he was hitting him this morning also. I moved Josue and I will write up David. David continued to stay turned around talking to people, after I spoke to David about his behavior, he asked to move several more times, I explained that he would stay in his assigned seat because he had not earned the privilege of moving. He hit the window and beat on the seat the rest of the way home. Trent was bouncing around on the seat and clapping his hands, much too loud for the bus, he will get a written warning. Jeremiah squeezed Josephs arm and left a red mark on it, I moved Joseph and I will write up Jeremiah. From now on Jeremiah will only be allowed to sit with his brothers. Daisha and Malik were arguing, bickering again....this is getting super old!!! Head count 41. AABSMS 3:25pm.
BSMS - I was packed this afternoon, I had 2 students standing. Zsaree was eating on the bus, I reminded her that if she continued it would result in a write-up, she continued and said that she will be doing it basically every day because she needs to eat due to her medication. I wrote it up and mentioned the medication thing. Jordan would not let Keiola go, he was actually holding on to her. I need to get to the bottom of this, but for today he gets a write up, he is usually so well behaved with such a great personality. Khalil was disrespectful again this afternoon, but when is he not disrespectful...I can't even recall who he was talking to, but I will have to keep a closer ear on him. He is usally in with the "too loud" crowd, but today that was Antarica and Jasmine. I congratulated Kayla for not being too loud today :) Head count 56.

SHES- My doors came off track at Brandon Newsome's stop, so a mechanic brought me a bus and I offloaded my elementary students right there in front of Brandon's house. My 3 BSMS students caught 9905 when she came thru as I was sitting there waiting on a sub and 04-05 Kevin started my BSMS route for me. Head count 26. Driving 9304.
BSMS- Bianca was allowed back on this AM because Ms.Teems said it caused too much hardship on Bianca'a family, they gave her ISS to finish the suspension. I picked up Carlos, the rest Kevin got and we pulled over at Barnes Van Lines and off-loaded them onto my bus. I didn't mind but I felt like Kevin was being sneaky cause he flagged me down instead of contacting me on the radio?? AAS 8:25am. Head count 41.

SHES- Cody and Cierra were arguing across the aisle again. Destany would not sit up in seat and lied to Kinslei about where to sit. I had just told Destany that Kinslei would sit with her and she wouldn't let her, told her to sit in the seat in front of her. Austin and Michael are too loud together. Head count 35. AAS 7:13am.
BSMS- Keiola and Dustin were smacking each other at the bus stop this morning just like yesterday at school. Unloaded at gym with trenchcoat lady. Head count 44. AAS 8:06am.

SHES- Christopher and Christen got off with Adam, Loren and Jeramiahs mother as usual, but it did not appear that anyone was home at their house....I think I will get a note to cover in case this happens again. Even though they always get off the bus with this lady, a family member always meets them in the yard, but not today. Breanu and Keanu were arguing over the first seat and generally bickering...I think I will write them up a warning, it is so difficult to drive and listen to this! Head count 41. AABSMS 3:20pm.

Tina is out starting today for her surgery, so I am the driver representative. I will get to school early to check the folder.
I am so far behind on my write ups for both schools that I am just going to make notes of the offenses on my blog so that I can write up for the next infraction and pull up all the previous offenses for the write up.

SHES - Good ride. Destany caught the bus at Kinslei's house, and I sat them together well away from Ryan and Jasmine...it worked good. Head count 34. AAS 7:14.
BSMS - Good ride. Briana Brooks got on with an MP3 player, and Maya had a cell phone that kept Kieola and Jasmine hanging out in the aisle and blocking the back door the entire ride to school. Zsaree, Briana Brooks and Maya will get written warnings for electronics. Zsaree had hers on the 7th. I had intended on talking to Bianca as she got on the bus, so that she would not harass the girls all the way to school, but she missed the bus, then her "ride" drove UP THE WRONG WAY INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC on Old Airport...I could not believe it!! I feel like I should write it up but I know that the parent/guardian will be a jerk about it. I'll ask Cindy. So I spoke with Bianca at school, told her the language and actions were not acceptable and that she needs to start making better decisions. I'll write it all up on one write-up. As soon as I sat her down to talk to her, the water works started! I feel terrible, she says that her mother is going to put her in private school yada, yada, yada....I just told her she needs to choose to stay out of trouble.

3/13/08 Routes *Inspection*

SHES- Very good ride this morning. Nothing from either parent that called in yesterday, but I will take the tape to Cindy, I have made notes where Jasmine is telling her teacher that she did threaten the girl and where the mother boarded my bus, so that Cindy can find them on the tape. Head count 39. AAS 7:15.
BSMS - Good ride. Head count 49. AAS 8:10 Trenchcoat lady was there when I unloaded. We practiced Emergency Evacuation and did it in 1:28 seconds and that was with Angelica on crutches!! WOW!! I also spoke to some of the oldest students about some of the procedures when we evacuate....I'm just taking it slow and making sure they know what to do :)

SHES - As I was going over the daily rules, I asked for "5" and Mariah continued to talk to Breanu and Athena the entire time I was trying to talk, despite what her mother thinks, she just isn't perfect, she is sweet and overall a good kid, just not perfect! Brandon was TA one time, thats not bad for him, but Payton would not face the front which is strange for him...he was TA 3 times! Head count 40. AAS 3:20.
BSMS - Good ride, no complaints from me. But right at the end of the route, Molly and Tabitha and Carol Jane came to the front and they were all very, very upset about more things that Bianca had said. Bianca was so mean to Carol Jane that she had her in tears according to Tabitha. I will move Bianca, write her up and see it through!! Head count 52.

SHES- Good ride, kept the trouble students in the front except Jasmine, she didn't ride but Natalie and Kayla Dees did! Head count 33. AAS 7:15. Timed Emergency Evacuation 40 seconds!
BSMS - Good ride, we talked about evacuation and predators which is a good reason to listen to adult when evacuating. Head count 48. AAS 8:10 trenchcoat lady was in front of gym wearing a red coat, I unloaded there. Pumped 30 gallons fuel.

SHES - At the school Jasmine's teacher got on the bus to try to take Jasmine's side, when I explained to the teacher that I heard with my own ears, Jasmine threaten Kinslei, she asked Jasmine "did you say that?" and Jasmine said yes. I know that Jasmine is a good student and a good person, but I had to write up a threat that I heard myself! I will keep Kinslei up front and Jasmine and Ryan in the back. Jeremiah didn't ride the bus, he is injured, so his twin brothers (K) had to have a receiver, nobody was at the stop, so I pulled to the driveway and blew the horn. Jeremiah came to the door so I let the twins off and as soon as they got off the steps a woman boarded my bus all the way up the steps and into my face! It was Jasmine's mother and she was mad! I handled her just fine, but I was stern and told her to exit my bus, I explained that I had to get the kids home and she was welcome to call my supervisor, so I gave her Cindy's number, lol. On my way to BSMS, 200 radioed and asked me to call my super after my route, I guess she did call Cindy, rotfl! Trent was bugging Ariel again, I will have to move him up front. Adam was writing on the seat, UGH!! He was using an eraser thank goodness, but these twins are gonna kill me! Heat count 41. AAS 3:22.
BSMS - Before we left the school Kayla was hanging out the window yelling/threatening another girl, directly in front of a teacher (short female with whitish grey hair). I yelled 3 times trying to get Kayla to be quiet but she totally ignored me, so when she called me to tell me that she didn't have enough room in her seat, I told her: "You ignored me when I called you, so I am doing the same". She half-sat half-stood in her seat. The teacher boarded my bus to tell me that Kayla was having a bad day and had already started with Antarica and she turned to Antarica and Antarica smiled and said "I'm gonna be good" and she was, the entire ride! After Antarica got off the bus, I asked Kayla to come talk to me, and I explained to her that she owes me the same courtesy as she expects, and asked her about this other girl, she siad it wasn't over with the other girl and it would prolly go down at school, she assured me not on the bus. But she said she can't make any promises about Antarica, I told her if anything goes down on the bus, there will be a lot more room in the seat where she sat and the seat where Antarica sat, cause they would be off the bus! After most of the students had gotten off the bus Molly and Brianna Blair talked to me about Biance. Molly said that something is wrong with Bianca because she has been super mean to people all day in school and on the bus she called Molly (one of her best friends) a white bitch. I can't even remember everything that Molly and Brianna told me so I am going to listen to the conversation again on the tape and write Bianca up for language and such. Head count 54.

After I got home I called Cindy and it seems that Mariah's mother is complaining. Saying that I have 4 students in her seat and that she has to stand??? WHAT???? Mariah was standing, turned around, talking to Jillian and Morgan.....all three were given bus rules to write and I only asked Mariah to write 1 sentence!! Next time it will be a straight write up, NO MORE WARNINGS!!!!

SHES- I moved the students that I had trouble with last week to the front of the bus. Jasmine said that her mother is going to the school about Kinslei spitting in her face. I told Jasmine that I understood, but I spoke to Kinslei and she said she accidently spit while she was talking. I also told Jasmine that I heard her threaten Kinslei. I will write all this up so that the school has it incase the mother shows up. Destany was TA. Went over Emergency Evacuation, didn't time it. AAS 7:73. Head Count 33.

Kayla was back on this morning, I made it clear to Antarica, I would take no CRAP from her or Kayla, they were both good. Micheal and Jasmine were not at stop, after I made several turns and got back on Old Airport the kids told me that they were running up the road so I turned around at Castlegate and went back but they had already left in a car. Dropped students off with trenchcoat lady at gym at 8:08. Head count 48. Got 35 gallons of fuel at BSMS.

2/28/08 Routes

AM Crossing gate sticking again this morning, I sprayed it with De-icer, no good. I just got out and pushed it closed before I got onto any main roads.
SHES - Good ride. David was talking across the aisle even after I asked him not to. I moved Malik to seat #3...gotta keep him away from everyone, ugh! No Jasmine today and no Cody today. AAS 7:13am. Head count 31.
BSMS - Good ride this morning, in fact I am suspicious because there seemed to be a lot of whispering and this group NEVER whispers!! Stopped and activated at Zsaree's house, no one showed, starting closing the door and her front door opened. I re-activated and waiting, nothing but an open door.....20 degrees outside so I thought I would give her a chance BUT I also have others standing out waiting and I was not going to sit there with the door open, losing heat. I proceeded to the next stop which is less that 500 ft.....looking in my mirrors, still no Zsaree. At another stop at Castle Gate, Brea was running up the road, so I waited for her and let her on. Noone else was at her stop. AAS 8:08am. Trenchcoat lady was in the gym for the unload (she was wearing a red parka) so I unloaded at the gym. Head count 45.

SHES- Cierra was on her knees and TA. This is a write up. I went by Josie's house 2 times and activated and blew the horn and waited both times and Grandpa didn't come out. I could tell he was there (car was there) but he never came out or even to the door. I was afraid something may have happened to him. Returned her to school. I hate to do it, but I will write it up too because I was late getting to BSMS...the other buses were loading and I was last in line and loaded after everyone else. AAS 3:25pm.

SHES- Destany was standing and TA. Nicholas Coheley was TA. My crossing gate started sticking out after about 8 stops, I turned off the engine and it would not come in, so I am guessing it was frozen. The kids loved the snow flurries!! Head count 36.
200 gave me permission to tie my gate closed and finish my route and bring it in later. so I taped it with masking tape ;)
BSMS- Good route, everyone must have been tired, lol! AAS @ 8:14am and there was no adult there to receive the students, I pulled down to the cafeteria and unloaded instead of at the gym. I saw a male in what looked like a work out suit with a whistle around his neck telling the boys to go inside...who knows? This school is S L A C K!! Head count 53. Got 22 gallons of fuel.

PM - Crossing gate works fine.....must have been frozen this morning.
SHES- No one at home at Nicholas and Mariahs and Jasmine was leaving and there was no adult home at Billy's so I took Nicholas and Mariah back to school. Mariah said that they would get a spanking because they had to go back to school :( That makes me angry! Brandon was talking when I asked everyone for "5" and then during the route he was standing. BSMS - Chaunne is written up. He lied about having a bookbag, said he didn't have one when I told him to put a pencil away, then I saw him hitting Chance over the head with his bookbag as he was exiting the bus, UGH! Zsaree told Brandon that his girlfriend (BreAnna Agan) is a whore. BreAnna had already gotten off the bus, if I write Zsaree up she is off the bus for good, so I won't write her up this time. I spoke to her about it. Head count 55.

2/26/08 Routes *Bad Weather*

When I boarded the bus preparing to start my route, Linda announced that we were to stay put, don't pick up any students, or any more if you had already started, and wait for the "go ahead" from them. We had bad storms roll through and there was a large amount of damage strewn through-out the county. We were given the "go ahead" at 7:35am. I had 2 students walk to my house and ask why I wasn't driving and 2 different parents, Rachels and Josies, came to ask me what was going on.

SHES- I took the ride very slow, watching carefully for downed powerlines. The students were on total silence, I needed to hear the radio, they did good. The route was clear overall, just limbs and debris but no large limbs, trees or lines down. I made all my stops, activated at each one. Head count 20. AAS 8:10
BSMS- This route was clear also, just small limbs and debris. I made all my stops and activated at each one but still only had 25 students, it was sooooooo ROOMY!! Meisha was a car rider and Bay Springs turned her away because they had no power, but when we arrived Mr. Tidaback was at the cafeteria doors and the usual lady in the trenchcoat was doing the meet'n'greet for the kiddos. Antarica told me she got arrested yesterday at Kayla's house, she went to "talk" to Kayla and Kayla called 911. Antarica was put in the back of the patrol car and taken home, UGH! Antarica's father is a police officer, she should know better. AAS 9:10.

SHES- Malik was the only student in his seat and he was still hanging out in the aisle, I am going to make him write bus rules. As Shane got off the bus, he informed me that Malik was insulting him. I asked Malik about it and he said Shane hit him. I have NEVER had any problems out of Shane in 2 years NEVER. And Malik is breaking the rules on a DAILY BASIS! Every day that Malik rides the bus, he breaks the rules....this is not a tough call, I believe Shane, but I will write them both up. Head count 33. AAS 3:20pm.
BSMS- Unbearable noise level again today.....Trey, Torre, Martavious, Antarica and Kieola were too loud. Trey was clapping and standing, Marcelles was OOS up and down the aisle 3 times. Thank goodness that the tornadoes kept some students at home!! Head count 43.

SHES- Good route, I was so sore from the car accident over the weekend that I quickly realized that I could not engage my parking brake at every stop, so I compromised, I took more Ibuprofen and used my brake at every stop where the student/s crossed in front of the bus. Thats the best I can do for now :( Michael, Anna, Cody, Billy did not ride this morning. I stopped at every stop, but they never came out. Arrived at school at 7:14am. Head count 34.
BSMS- Good route, we actually had ALMOST enough room, lol. Marcelles was back this morning after his uncalled for suspension. Arrived at school at 8:10am. Head count 53. Got 22 gallons of fuel at BSMS.

SHES- No adult at home at Nicholas and Mariah's house, Billy got off the bus with them and then they all walked over to Billy's house....I hate to allow this, but I have written permission from both households, oh well :( Brandon was OOS twice. Cierra was TA again, this was her last warning, nothing but referrals for her from now on! Malik fell across the aisle into Keanu purposely as he was sitting down. Breanu was pulling on Keanu's book bag causing her to fall and then Malik pushed her down all because Breanu wanted to get off bus first...I have told her DOZENS of times that the oldest get off first so that they can watch out for the younger ones...this is my policy and she knows it! UGH!!! AAS 3:20pm. Head count 37.
BSMS- I am completely disgusted with this bus load of students! The bus is filthy, mashed up food in the floor and candy/gum/food wrappers everywhere....thats it, NO MORE FOOD! I will get it cleaned when I can, still hurting too bad, can't do it yet :( The entire load was too loud, I screamed BE QUIET! several times and blew my whistle but it didn't work, so I pulled over on the side of Hwy 61 at the Dollar General and radioed in to Laurie that I was not proceeding until they SHUT UP! Zsaree, Antarica, Kieola, Kayla, Torre, Trey and Rod were too loud, shouting and screaming. Trey HTS. Michael and Kahlil were standing and moving about the bus, but I believe they were trying to move to more comfortable spots as we were unloading. Antarica and Kayla talked "smack" to each other and got the entire bus involved...something about a confrontation happening at Kayla's house after they get off the bus. Kayla has OOS suspension for the next 4 days, she won't be abck on until Monday. Head count 54.

Had another new student get on at Michael and Jordan's stop her name is Jasmine, no paperwork from school but we will see this afternoon. We were short a few students so we managed to have room. Rod is still suspended, I cannot believe that Antwan the instigator did not get into any trouble at all!! the following students were NAS we had to wait on them: Zsaree, Briana Brooks. Arrived at school at 8:07am. Head count 49.

BSMS- Zsaree was slapping Bianca in the face, apparently. When we got to school, Bianca stayed on the bus and was in tears, it seems that Antarica and Zsaree were giving Bianca and Ishama a hard time. Zsaree was smacking Bianca in the face and Antarica was making fun of Ishama, her hair and insinuating that she is gay because she saves a seat for certain girls. How stupid!! WU: Antarica, Zsaree and do assigned seats! AAS 8:15am. Head count 41.

My fuel was too low to do the BSMS route, tried to get into BSMS over the weekend and holiday and then again this morning but the gate has been locked. I think it must be because of all the earth moving equip there. Anyway, I had to go to transportation and get fuel, I got 18 gallons before I picked up my BSMS kids.

SHES- Apparently while I was off, 9404 did my SHES route and Trent hit Kelsea in the head with his bookbag. Trent claims it was an accident and Kelsea says that it absolutely was not. I tend to believe her, she is NOT a trouble maker at all. Will view the tape. Head count 27.

Making a copy of my DL over the weekend, I realized that they are expired! I called Cindy on her cell and she said go ahead and drive Monday and get them renewed as soon as DMV opens which is Tuesday am.

SHES- For some reason I was very low on fuel, not too low, just lower than usual for a Monday morning. Good route this morning. AAS 7:18am. Head count 35.

We have a new student, he gets on at the Castlegate/Cottage Lane stop. His name is Jontavious Baily (splg?) need PW on him. Ishama is riding the bus again, she gets on and off at Peek Dr/Shady Grove. Arrived at school at 8:08am. Head count 49.

SHES- I talked to Tammi at SHES and she said that about 50 is loaded for middle school. Also I spoke to her about my radio, it doesn't seem to be working all the time just occasionally. I explained how tired of sub-buses I am, she understood and agreed that it might just be the wind. So I am just going to wait a day or so till the weather clears up to see if it improves. Also Tammi needs a copy of my license, I didn't have time or a "code" to make a copy at SHES, so I made myself a big note to get her a copy of them. Cody was in Jasmine's face. Breanu HTS. 1/10/08 Routes *in bus #9205*

SHES- This morning bus #9205 has no taillights or parking lights. I pulled the headlight switch on and off a dozen or so times and I also hit the dimmer switch many, many times. The dimmer switch did get the taillights to come on a couple of times but they just went back off immediately, so the mechanics brought me another bus!!!!!! But this time it is #9504 I was soooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to hear this news, I almost broke down in tears, but I soon had to shift into driving mode out of elation because I was starting both my routes 20 minutes late! I started at 7:05. Arrived at school at 7:30am. Head count 32.
BSMS- Arrived at school at 8:28am. Head count 42.

SHES- I failed to write down the actual mileage in all the excitement this morning, so I wrote it down this afternoon and subtracted my route mileage from the total to get a beginning mileage for the month of January. I checked everything super carefully, I could see all the new parts, wiring, looks like even a new inline fuse in the battery box. I guess the figured out what was wrong with it, but there is no pick copy of the work order so I don't know for sure. Daisha was TA. Ariel was OOS. Breanu was talking ugly about David. Trent had a nylon strap (from Ariel's Bookbag) and he hit Kinslei on the arm with it, it left 2 red marks on her arm. I explained to Trent that I would have to write him up in case her parents were upset about the marks. Head count 33.

SHES- Quiet ride. Arrived at school @7:15am. Head count 28.
BSMS- Quiet ride until the front wheels locked up and the brakes went out on hwy 61 at Flat Rock Road! I stopped in the turning lane to the Flat Rock store when my brake sensor started beeping, turned off the bus and started it again and it went off. The brakes felt fine and we were app 1 1/2 miles from school so I decided to proceed to the school. As soon as I got out onto hwy 61, the front wheels and steering locked up and the brake sensor began beeping again and when I tried to stop the brakes were very stiff and the bus would not slow, so I down-shifted to 1st tried to get off the hwy and ended up getting stopped just off the shoulder in the mud. Then I called for assistance and 9411 Lorrie Newman took my kids to school and the mechanics brought me 9205. It was sooooo clean and drove so good compared to 9107, lol! I proceeded home. Lorrie notified me that the students arrived on time. Head count 50.

SHES- The mileage on 9205 196106 and there was not a pre-trip form started so I started one. I did a complete pre-trip and everything under the hood on this bus looked fresh! You could still smell the paint because the hood had just been painted recently and everything was in good working order! I even had Lance help by working all the lights as I watched to make sure everything was good, finally a good bus! Daisha and Trent were hitting each other. Johnathon was shouting. Samari was eating. Trent was TA. Breanu was TA and OOS. Head count 29.
