8/06/09 Routes

SHES - Left home at 6:45am, AAS @ 7:28am, 35 head count.
BSMS - Due to the route being 2 routes combined, I was unable to pick up all the students. Arrived at my first stop at 7:38am and picked up 74 students...Mr. Rogers is going to split the route.

SHES- Left school at 3:00pm, head count 35.
BSMS- Mr. Rogers split off the OAP portion of my route. Head count 34.

7/30/09 Back to school meeting.

With Cindy Warren gone, looks like Judy Petty will be over SHES, not sure about BSMS...but nonetheless I really like Judy.....I can do this ;) I passed my physical, whew! And I have my written air brake endorsement but I have not passed the air brake/pretrip test. I am scheduled to take it on August 5, 2009....the day before school starts, which leaves no room for error :/

Well it is now October 27, 2009 and Judy is no longer the VR supervisor James Coffman is again and it is working just fine. I have my air brake endorsement, obviously I passed :) And I can't remember anything that we went over in the BTS meeting :)

First day of school Pre-K and Kindergarten ONLY

As long as I have been driving, we have never done this before. Only Pre-K and K students will attend school today....We will see how this works!

Everything went smoothly....only had a few students on my bus :)

2009-2010 School Year Let's try a new attitude :)

Ok, supposedly its mind over matter...so let's honestly try this: Instead of I HATE THIS JOB, I HATE THIS JOB and I HATE THIS JOB.......let's try: I AM GOOD AT THIS JOB, THIS JOB ALLOWS ME TO BE HOME DURING THE DAY AND WHEN MY CHILD IS OUT OF SCHOOL, THIS JOB HAS GREAT BENEFITS. These are all honest statements, they are facts that have been here all along, in the back of my mind but I have never let them take a foothold. I am very good at this job, and this year I will only have to be responsible for myself and my students, no more driver/school resposibilities! I am home during the day almost every day and I will make a good effort to only go to transportation on my scheduled inspections or for random drug testing. And this job does have great health, dental and vision insurance AND my paycheck is enough to pay our major expense which is our mortgage payment......so all these points make it a great job to have :) I will put a ton of effort into not bringing my work home.....finish my route, a short post on the blog and I am finished until time for my next pretrip!
